National Bowel Cancer Screening Program
Ballarat LGA Project - involving post codes of 3350, 3352, 3353, 3354, 3355, 3356, 3357.
Cancer Council Victoria and Ballarat Community Health Service are working in partnership to promote the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program.
What is it?
The National Bowel Cancer Screening Program is a Commonwealth Government initiative to help detect bowel cancer early and reduce the number of Australians who die each year from the disease. This particular project is being conducted in Ballarat and Dandenong LGAs only, and aims to conduct concentrated local initiatives to improve education and awareness of the National Program.

BHC Service Plan and Model of Care 2008 - 2015
Finalised in early 2008, the Service Plan identifies community health needs for Ballarat and surrounds, and future development direction for Ballarat Community Health. The Service Plan provides a framework for the organisation to institute change from the base of existing services, if appropriate, in order to achieve agreed objectives, or projected changes in services to clients, service structure and profile.
The Service Plan is designed to guide sustainable future organisational development in order to respond to community needs, and relevant government policy directions.
