Services - Alcohol & Other Drug Services
The Alcohol & Drug Team at Ballarat Community Health is committed to assisting individuals and families who are dealing with alcohol or other drug related issues.
Do you, or does someone close to you, have a problem with alcohol or other drugs? Are you concerned or confused about alcohol or drugs? We can provide free support, information and continuing care. You won’t be judged. Your confidentiality and privacy will be respected.
Our services include:
Alcohol and Other Drug Counselling
Support, counselling and continuing care to individuals, family members and significant others experiencing alcohol and other drug related problems.
Acquired Brain Injury Resource Worker
Supportive case management for individuals who have an Alcohol or Other Drug related Acquired Brain Injury. Also providing secondary consultation to health professionals and others.
Health Promotion
Early intervention programs and promotion of healthy lifestyle choices for the general community, including education programs within schools.
Withdrawal Services
Assessment for detoxification from alcohol and other drugs, including home-based and outreach withdrawal services.
Mobile Drug Safety Worker
Supporting, individuals with alcohol and other drug issues within their own environment. Providing education and referrals for health related issues.
Alcohol and Other Drug Youth Outreach Worker
(11-25 years of age)
A holistic approach of working with young people in their own environment, assisting individuals and family members with alcohol or drug related issues.
Alcohol and Drug Support Groups
Support Groups provide ongoing assistance for individuals, family members or significant others affected by alcohol or substance abuse.
Needle Exchange Program
Syringes/needles, swabs and disposal containers are provided free of charge, along with a disposal service for used needles.
